Class Cancellations
Please call the Studio (508) 520-3623 anytime if you have a question about class being held. The voice mail message is kept updated with class cancellations and the like. If the Norfolk Public Schools are closed in the morning, morning classes at the Studio will also be cancelled, however, that is not necessarily true for the afternoon classes. Usually conditions have cleared enough to allow us to hold afternoon sessions. We have had students enrolled from 13 different towns: Attleboro, Bellingham, Dedham, Foxboro, Franklin, Mansfield, Medfield, Medway, Millis, Norfolk, Plainville, Walpole, and Wrentham. Conditions may be very different from one town to another - use your own discretion when deciding whether or not to drive, but please call the Studio if you have any questions about whether or not classes will be held.
ALSO- check the "updates" blog section of the website for class cancellation posts from Miss Kathy!

PARENTS' DAY
Parents are invited and encouraged to observe classes 3 times during the year - during the last weeks of October, December, and when costumes are given out. Except for these weeks, classes are closed to the public. Parents are encouraged, however, to call anytime to review their child’s progress and participation. Appointments will be scheduled when requested.
ATTENDANCE
NEW THIS YEAR....We are implementing a new policy where all students sign up for a CLASS must be registered and start in the month of September in order to maintain the continuity of the class and also in order to be able to keep the class moving on and not reviewing for late arrivals... We the instructors have given this careful consideration and we feel in order for the Students not only to learn and perfect and hopefully even master the choreography we need to implement this new policy.
Weekly Attendance is necessary to provide the reinforcement and continuity of instruction needed to teach an individual the coordinated skills of a dancer. In addition, the weekly social interactions build one’s complete participation and, despite feeling tired beforehand, renews one’s physical and emotional energy. In an effort to reinforce a commitment to lessons, an award will be given to those children who have perfect attendance with no missed classes.
If a student(s) would like to start late for a solo, duet or trio, you may register late and start in the month of October, if scheduling is available.
MAKEUP CLASSES
Make-up classes are offered. Girls will take, in addition to their own class, an extra class in the same subject with the level ahead of them. High Schoolers will attend with the LEVEL 2. Whether it’s sickness, weather, or vacation trips which interfere with class schedules, you are all encouraged to take advantage of this plan. PLEASE NOTE, HOWEVER,THAT THE PERFECT ATTENDANCE AWARD IS ONLY FOR THOSE GIRLS WITH NO ABSENTEEISM.
